Filarmónica do Luxemburgo

The Luxembourg Philharmonic Orchestra has been a pillar of excellence in the cultural life of Luxembourg since 1933 when it was created by RadioLuxembourg. Since 1996 it is Luxembourg's National Orchestra. International touring under the baton of its music director Emmanuel Krivine enhances the orchestra's reputation. At the Philharmonie Luxembourg it has its own series and plays children's and family concerts as well. Internationally renowned conductors and soloists are regularly invited by the orchestra for concerts in Luxembourg and abroad. The orchestra's discography is impressive and most of the CDs were awarded prestigious international prizes, over seventy until now!
